Michelle Babka in Parkton Maryland’s Casa Mia Restaurant serves up an unusual firecracker Sangria. This version is more a cocktail than a wine over ice variety. And its fabulous!
- Everyday Cabernet
- Cranberry Juice
- Triple Sec
- Brandy (Peach Brandy if you like)
- peach schnapps
- simple syrup
- Sprite and fruit of choice (bing cherries, halved, if you have)
In a container, fill 1/2 with cabernet. Add 1/3 of that amount of cranberry juice, then 3 parts triple sec, brandy and schnapps- add a dash of simple syrup (sugar water). Add fruit.
When ready to serve, fill either the container or a glass with ice and top with Sprite, garnish and serve! Its dark, sweet and spicy!
